Current Online Lightroom and Photoshop Classes

Classes have been a success! So much so, that I’m now teaching them exclusively through I Heart Faces. Go here to find class information and to register.

How it works: I use a program that will allow you to video chat with me while you view my screen. This means you’ll be able to see exactly what I do, step-by-step, in Lightroom or Photoshop. After registering, you’ll receive information via email.  For a preview of what the classes are like, you can check out a segment of the Lightroom class here.

Photoshop Editing – Beginner

This one hour class will walk you through my process and workflow of editing pictures. We’ll discuss RAW editing, using Photoshop tools, editing in curves, levels, color corrections, liquifying, using actions, removing distracting elements from the background and preparing for print and web. Class includes my workflow actions set and the class notes. I will be teaching on Photoshop CS5. This class will be geared towards beginners.

About me:

I started out as a teacher. Although I enjoyed teaching, I knew I didn’t have the passion for it that I ought to for a long-time career. When my family moved abroad, I decided to leave teaching and become a stay at home mom. Armed with a blog and many hours of nap time, I bought my first DSLR on a whim to try and get better blog photographs. After realizing getting good pictures was not just a matter of having the right camera, I devoted my free time to learning everything about photography that I could. Soon, my friends started asking me to take pictures of them and I jumped into business in 2007. I have since written tutorials, become a contributor and workshop instructor at I Heart Faces and started teaching (un)Workshops in various states around the country, the ultimate combination of my love of teaching and photography. Recently, based on the large amount of requests I’ve received, I’ve begun teaching online workshops for those that can’t travel.
