(un)Workshop

I haven’t been this nervous to write a post since I came out with Savor, but here goes!

Over the last two or three months and especially after my travel announcement, I’ve started getting requests for tutoring/mentoring/even workshops and I always say no, because really, I’m no Jasmine Star.

But lately, I’ve been talking to some girls about being, or attempting to be, fearless when it comes to living life, and I think I’ve been saying no because I’m being a fraidy cat.

Therefore, after some hard soul searching (I’m so dramatic), I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be hosting two classes this summer, one in Rochester, NY, the other in Rocky Mount, NC during my travel dates. The classes will be about six hours long with both theory and practice segments. The morning will cover discussions on the following:

Equipment
Manual Shooting
Lighting, both natural and flash/studio/OCF
Posing and interacting with clients
Post-processing
Workflow

And in the afternoon, we’ll go on a shoot and come back and edit so you’ll get a chance to see how I shoot and edit, and practice yourself. We’ll end the day with a Q and A session.

The class fee will be $125/person. Because I want to keep it affordable, the fee doesn’t include lunch or a fancy hotel venue, but we’ll definitely have fun and learn a lot from each other. Minimum and maximum numbers will apply, so if you’re interested, please email me right away and let me know which class location you’re interested in.
