(un)Workshop UK

Oooh I’m so excited about this one!

Since the seed was planted in my head, I’ve had dreams about doing a UK (un)Workshop in the Summer of 2011.

My obvious first choice for a location for this workshop was Haileybury College, a school in Hertford Heath, about 30 miles north of London – just an easy train ride. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and (bonus!) I lived there for two years, so I know my way around.

And I’m happy to say that it looks like it will all work out!

The Details
Date: Saturday, July 23
Time: 10am-6pm
Cost: £300 early registration (includes lunch). If you want to bring a friend, an additional ticket can be bought for £200
What: We’ll cover lighting, shooting methods, exposure, setting up a shoot, interacting with clients, posing, post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop, and the business of photography. We’ll also have a mini-session on the beautiful grounds of Haileybury. It’s going to be great!

And while I was dreaming… I thought wouldn’t it be great to be able to fly into London and drive up to Aberdeen (to the in-laws)? That way the kids could see the UK that they’ve probably very much forgotten. It also means that we’ll be all over, and I’ll be accepting portrait commissions and one-on-one mentoring during this time. If you’re interested, please contact me. And while I was dreaming some more, I thought wouldn’t it be great to shoot a British wedding? If you’re getting married around the end of July/early August, I would love to shoot your wedding.
